Join MMS

Any medical doctor (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) is eligible to join the Marin Medical Society. When you join MMS, you automatically become a member of the California Medical Association (CMA). Membership in the American Medical Association (AMA) is voluntary but recommended.

Membership dues depend on your practice status. Dues range from $284 per year for young physicians to $1095 per year for physicians in full-time practice. A complete dues schedule appears below.

Annual Dues (MMS and CMA combined)

$1095	Active (practicing in Marin County with a physician & surgeon's certificate issued by the MBC or OMBC)
$547.50	New Member (never been a CMA member or applying during first year in practice)
$547.50	Half-time and 65+ years old (working 1-20 hours/week and are 65+ years old)
$547.50	Government (receive more than 50% of your practice income from county, state or federal government)
$284	Young Physician (under 40 years old or in your first year of practice)
$303	Multiple (active member of another CMA component medical society)
